COMPLETE CODIFICATION OR RECODIFICATION

If your municipal ordinances have never been codified or if they need to be recodified, we will:

• Review and analyze your existing ordinances to determine whether they conform to current state statutes
• Meet with your officials to determine whether your ordinances are meeting the needs of your municipality
• Make recommendations to cure any deficiencies
• Provide a set of new ordinance books in three-ring binders, each with chapter contents, chapter divider tabs, and custom cover.
• Provide a free CD-ROM containing the revised code in Microsoft Word
• Provide free updating services for one year following completion of your municipal code revision
• Provide a specially formatted version of the code for your municipal Web site
• After your free year, provide updating services at a reasonable cost to keep your code books continually current.


UPDATING SERVICES

If you don't need a complete revision but wish to incorporate recently passed ordinances into your current code, we have three options:

A. (CURRENT 8½” X 11” PAGES)

• Incorporate all ordinances passed since your last revision and reprint entire code book
• Provide future updating services on a piecemeal basis

B. (CURRENT 8½” X 11” PAGES)

• Incorporate all ordinances passed since your last revision, printing only the updated pages for your existing code books
• Provide future updating services on a piecemeal basis

C. (CURRENT 6” X 8½” PAGES)

• Convert your existing code to letter size (8½” x 11”)
• Incorporate all ordinances passed since your last revision and reprint entire code book
• Provide three-ring binders containing your updated code, along with chapter contents, chapter divider tabs, and custom cover
• Provide future updating services on a piecemeal basis

By utilizing Option A, B, or C, you will retain your unique municipal code, with individual updates as needed. We can provide a specially formatted version of the code for your municipal Web site with Options A or C.


MODEL ORDINANCES

For a reasonable price we will provide your city/village with model ordinances for consideration by your municipal officials. The model ordinances can be tailored to your special needs and situations.

POLICY MANUALS

One of the most effective ways to avoid employee litigation and to maintain morale is to have a modern, up-to-date policy manual. We can provide a model policy manual and meet with your municipal officials to tailor it to your town’s special needs. We also review existing policy manuals to determine whether improvements are necessary and make recommendations for consideration by your officials.
